French Cookies¶

Ingredients¶
- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. shortening (melted)
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c. rasins (golden)
- 1/2 c. nuts
Instructions¶
- Mix together flour, brown sugar, soda, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
- Add eggs, shortening, hot water, vanilla, raisins and nuts.
- Stir until mixed. Spread evenly on one large or two medium cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degress for 15-20 minutes or until golden and knife comes out clean.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing glaze.
- Spread icing while cookies are hot out of the oven.

- Glass of milk reccomended.
