Crispy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine ============================== Ingredients ----------- * 8 oz Fettuccine Pasta * 1 lb Shrimp (deshelled and deveined) * 1 tablespoon :ref:`cajun-seasoning` * 2 tablespoons All-Purpose fFlour * 2 tablespoons Butter * 1 tablespoon Olive Oil * 1 cup Chicken Broth * 1 cup Heavy Cream * 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated) * 1 tablespoon fresh Parsley (chopped) * salt and pepper to taste Instructions ------------ #. Sprinkle the shrimp with the cajun seasoning and toss well. #. Drizzle the flour over the shrimp and toss in a bowl to make sure each shrimp is covered. #. Boil water and cook fettuccine noodles. #. In a deep skillet, add butter and olive oil, then heat over high heat. #. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook on each side for about 2 minutes, until crisp. #. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside. #. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and heavy cream. #. Season with additional cajun seasoning and salt/pepper to taste. #. Bring to a boil then add the Parmesan cheese and whisk. #. Add fettuccine and shrimp back to skillet and toss. #. Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan and serve.
