Oven Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork ribs
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp hickory smoke salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 300F.
  2. Peel off tough membrane that covers bottom of ribs.
  3. Mix together spices to make rub. Apply rub to all sides of the ribs.
  4. Lay two layers of foil, shiny side out. Place ribs, meaty side down, onto the foil.
  5. Lay two layers of foil on top of ribs and roll and crimp edges tightly, edges facing up to seal.
  6. Place ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2 - 2 1/2 hours, or until meat is starting to shrink from the ends of the bones.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven, and heat the broiler.
  8. Cut ribs into portions of 3, leave bony side up, and brush with BBQ sauce.
  9. Place ribs in oven and broil for 1 - 2 minutes. Repeat with other side of ribs.

Serves: Original recipe yields 4 servings.
