Crispy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine¶
Ingredients¶
- 8 oz Fettuccine Pasta
- 1 lb Shrimp (deshelled and deveined)
- 1 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons All-Purpose fFlour
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1 tablespoon fresh Parsley (chopped)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions¶
- Sprinkle the shrimp with the cajun seasoning and toss well.
- Drizzle the flour over the shrimp and toss in a bowl to make sure each shrimp is covered.
- Boil water and cook fettuccine noodles.
- In a deep skillet, add butter and olive oil, then heat over high heat.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook on each side for about 2 minutes, until crisp.
- Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and heavy cream.
- Season with additional cajun seasoning and salt/pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil then add the Parmesan cheese and whisk.
- Add fettuccine and shrimp back to skillet and toss.
- Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan and serve.
Serves: Makes 4 servings
Notes¶
- Be careful with the sodium content.
- Can get thick fast. Be careful.
