Crunchy Fried Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails left intact
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs in a medium bowl until frothy.
  2. Mix flour, salt and pepper in another medium bowl.
  3. Dredge shrimp in flour, shake off excess.
  4. Dip shrimp into eggs, then press shrimp into Panko.
  5. Pour enough oil into heavy large pot to reach depth of 2 inches.
  6. Heat to 350 degrees F. Working in batches, add shrimp to hot oil.
  7. Deep-fry until cooked through, about 1 minute. Using tongs transfer shrimp to paper towels to drain.
